Greg Bozimowski, CRNA DNP, Professor  Program Director

Dr. Bozimowski is the Department Chair and Program Director. He teaches Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, The DNP Project Proposal and Professional Aspects. He holds a Doctor of Nurse Practice degree from the University of Detroit Mercy a Master of Science in Anesthesia from Mercy College of Detroit and a Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing from Wayne State University. His areas of research, presentations and publications have focused on pain management, pharmacology, education and student wellness. He has served his profession extensively as a past president, board member and multiple committee chairmanships for the Michigan Association of Nurse Anesthetists. He serves as an editorial reviewer for the AANA Journal and on the editorial board of the ISJNA.

Michael P. Dosch, CRNA, Ph.D., Professor Nurse Anesthesia

Dr. Dosch directed the program from 1991 to 2021. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science from Mercy College of Detroit, and a Ph.D. from Wayne State University. His teaching/research interests include: Anesthesia Gas Machine, Applied Physics, Research Methods, Statistics, Attrition, and computer-based testing. He is active in service to his profession including: Editorial Committee and peer reviewer for the AANA Journal, a member of the Certification  Examination Committee of the National Board for Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), and many years service as an on-site reviewer (currently a Chair Reviewer) for the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs. He has published and spoken extensively on the anesthesia gas machine and other topics. He also maintains an active clinical practice. 

Petra D. Hurt, CRNA, M.S., Affiliate Clinical Coordinator

Ms. Hurt is responsible for admissions, the first-year clinical curriculum, the Basic Principles of Anesthesia course, the student schedule, and rotation schedule. She serves her profession as a team reviewer for the Council on Accreditation and as a committee chair for the Michigan Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oakland University and her Master of Science in Anesthesia from Wayne State University.

Andrea Teitel, CRNA, M.S., Affiliate Clinical Coordinator

Ms. Teitel teaches Regional Anesthesia all Advanced Principles of Nurse Anesthesia courses. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree from Michigan State University and Master's of Science in Anesthesia degree from Wayne State University. She is a previous Michigan Association of Nurse Anesthesia president, government relations chair and federal political director. Ms. Teitel lectures locally and nationally on various cardiac anesthesia topics.
