Class sizes

The clinical supervision ratio is one faculty member supervisor for every eight students, allowing individualized attention for each student. Most classes will have approximately 24 students.

Faculty

Introductory science and liberal arts courses are taught by Aquinas College faculty. All Aquinas faculty have a doctoral or master's degree and broad experience. Nearly 90 percent of the science and psychology faculty have doctorates in their field. The upper-level nursing courses are taught by University of Detroit Mercy's highly experienced nursing faculty.

Several have doctoral degrees and many are nurse practitioner/midwives. Many both teach and engage in active clinical practice. Clinical nurse specialists and nurse practitioners from Saint Mary’s Health Care participate in clinical portion of the program.
