Nursing Information Sessions

Prospective nursing applicants are invited and strongly encouraged to attend one of our Nursing Information Sessions. A member of our Faculty and/or Admissions staff will present information and answer questions at each session.

Below you will find information sessions for the BSN programs, Graduate programs, and the DNP reception.

    BSN Information Sessions

    Nursing Information Sessions for undergraduate transfer and post-degree transfer students are held the third Monday of each month, 5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted below (except January, August, and December).  Transfer Nursing program options include the new Part-Time program and the Second Degree Option (Second Bachelor’s) program - often referred to as "accelerated nursing program."  For meeting details and directions to campus see below or visit the following link and register to attend.  Registration is suggested, but not mandatory, so please feel free to bring a friend, family member, or colleague.

    The information sessions are held at the McNichols Campus of University of Detroit Mercy, which is located at the corner of Livernois and McNichols. The closest freeway exit is the Livernois exit on the Lodge/M-10 (campus is 1 mile north). The meetings will be held in the College of Health Professions or Commerce and Finance Buildings (McNichols campus buildings map). The McNichols Road Entrance is the only entry to the university's campus.  The best parking is in Parking Lot F on the map.

    Graduate Nursing Information Sessions

    Information about our Graduate and Doctoral Nursing programs will be discussed at these information sessions.  Be certain to note the specific program scheduled for discussion on each posted date.

    • Monday, October 21 (Family Nurse Practitioner only)

    The information will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Room 110 of the College of Health Professions Building.     Annual DNP Program Mentor Reception

    The McAuley School of Nursing cordially invites you to a reception that encourages exploration of your graduate nursing professional development. Learn from our current students and alumni, how the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (DNP) can prepare you in advanced roles such as nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, or executive/administrator.

    Whether you are a Master’s prepared nurse looking to complete the terminal degree in nursing through our post-master’s program or a Bachelor's prepared nurse that would like to combine the advanced Master’s level role with a doctorate – this is the event that can answer your questions!
