Call for Abstracts

Submission Deadline: Aug. 30, 2024

The University of Detroit Mercy, College of Health Professions and McAuley School of Nursing welcomes health care leaders, researchers, educators, clinicians, and students to submit an abstract  for podium or poster presentation to our inaugural Research Symposium.  This event will be held September 28th, 2024, on the University of Detroit Mercy’s McNichols campus during Detroit Mercy’s Homecoming weekend.    

We welcome abstracts for podium or poster presentations on the following healthcare-related themes:

  • Safety and Quality
  • Health care innovations and Leadership
  • Social Responsibility
  • Health and Wellness and Community Engagement

    Abstract Requirements

    • Abstracts should be submitted by August 30th, 2024, notification of acceptance will be sent by September 10th.
    • Abstracts should be no more than 300 words
    • Abstracts should be free of commercial bias
    • Indicate the type of presentation (poster or podium).
    • Provide the title of your abstract.
    • Specify the topic area your abstract addresses.
    • A concise summary of your research.
    • First author name and affiliation.
    • Co-Author names and affiliations.
    • Agreement to present if selected.

    Exceptional posters will be recognized at the end of the event. Awards will be given for Best Student Poster, Clinical Innovation, Community Engagement and Wellness.
