Abstract Requirements
Submission Deadline: Aug. 30, 2024
The University of Detroit Mercy, College of Health Professions and McAuley School of Nursing welcomes health care leaders, researchers, educators, clinicians, and students to submit an abstract for podium or poster presentation to our inaugural Research Symposium. This event will be held September 28th, 2024, on the University of Detroit Mercy’s McNichols campus during Detroit Mercy’s Homecoming weekend.
We welcome abstracts for podium or poster presentations on the following healthcare-related themes:
- Safety and Quality
- Healthcare innovations and Leadership
- Social Responsibility
- Health and Wellness and Community Engagement
Abstract Requirements
- Abstracts should be submitted by August 30th , 2024
- Abstracts should be no more than 300 words
- Notification of Acceptance will be sent by September 10th , 2024
- Submit an Abstract by August 30, 2024
Exceptional posters will be recognized at the end of the event. Awards will be given for Best Student Poster, Clinical Innovation, Community Engagement and Wellness.
Instructions for accepted poster and podium abstracts:
Please be sure to register by September 20, 2024 for the CHP and MSON’s Symposium using the link above.
The event will be held at the McNichols campus in Detroit. The address is 4001 West McNichols Rd Detroit, Michigan 48221.
Poster guidelines:
- Please arrive at the CHP lobby (located near CHP 124) between 11:00 am - 11:30 am to be met by the symposium committee staff regarding instructions in setting up your poster.
- Your poster will be on display during the entire conference. Presenters need to be at their poster between 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm.
- Posters must be on flat or trifold poster boards and easels will be provided to hold the poster boards. Clips will be provided for rollup posters that are on poster boards.
- Your poster needs to be taken down by 4:00 pm.
- Finally, please email a copy of your poster presentation in PowerPoint form using the link provided as chpresearchsymposium@udmercy.edu by end of business day, Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
Podium guidelines:
Please arrive at the CHP lobby (located near CHP 124) between 11:00 am - 11:30 am to be met by the symposium committee staff regarding instructions in setting up your presentation. A computer and audio system will be available in the room and symposium staff will be available to assist you.
- You will be allotted fifteen minutes for your presentation with additional five minutes of Q & A.
- Bring a copy (i.e., USB flash drive) of your PowerPoint presentation to the event.
- Finally, please email a copy of your podium presentation in PowerPoint form using the link provided as chpresearchsymposium@udmercy.edu by end of business day, Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
