CASPA Applicants
The applicant is responsible for:
- Reading all of the Admission Criteria and Academic Policies prior to application to the program.
- Completing the CASPA application according to the directions, including all required submissions, by January 15.

- Submit official foreign transcripts to an approved foreign transcript evaluation service for a course-by-course U.S. equivalency report and arrange for foreign transcript reports to be sent directly to CASPA from the foreign transcript evaluation agency by Jan. 15.
- Official transcripts sent to CASPA do not also need to be sent to the University of Detroit Mercy. Official transcripts for prerequisites completed aftersubmission of the CASPA application will need to be sent to the address below. All three (3) recommendation forms and all official transcripts for work completed at the time of admission must be received at CASPA by the January 15 deadline. UDM will not accept CASPA applicant recommendation forms or transcripts (except those for course work completed after submission of the application) directly.
- Downloading,printing and completing the Physician Assistant supplemental application by Feb 15. The package contains: Physician Assistant Program Admissions essays 1 - 3; an Application Instructions Summary; the Prerequisite checklist form; and the Application checklist. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the Application Package, you can download it here.The completed supplemental application must be postmarked by February 15.
- Requesting Official General Graduate Record Examination Scores (GRE)be sent to the program. These scores must be received directly from the Educational Testing Corp. by February 15. (Official MCAT scores may be used in lieu of GRE). When sending these scores, you will need the University of Detroit Mercy's institution code: 1835 and program code: 0699.This will ensure your scores reach our office in a timely manner.(GRE will not send scores to CASPA)
- Returning a completed Prerequisite Checklist Form. This should be sent as early as possible so you can respond to feedback prior to the February 15 deadline.
- Returning a completed Application Checklist Form.
- Submitting a resume or CV with a chronological listing of health and helping work/community service.
- Assuring the return of essays, resume and application checklist together in one packet postmarked bythe application deadline, February 15th (official GRE scores must be received by Feb 15) to:
