Patricia Rouen PhD, RN, FNP-BC
Dr. Rouen joined the University of Detroit Mercy in 1999. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, a Master of Science in Nursing and a Post Master's Certificate - Family Nurse Practitioner from Oakland University. In 2009, Dr. Rouen completed a PhD in Nursing at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. She holds ANCC board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Dr. Rouen’s clinical experience includes medical-surgical and critical care nursing. As a family nurse practitioner, she has practiced in primary care in a large family practice, the UDM Student Health Center and the McAuley Health Center. Dr. Rouen’s practice and research interests include women’s health, menopause, and management of chronic illness, especially diabetes.
