Nursing Information Sessions

Prospective nursing applicants are invited and strongly encouraged to attend one of our Nursing Information Sessions. A member of our Faculty and/or Admissions staff will present information and answer questions at each session.

Below you will find information sessions for the BSN programs, Graduate programs, and the DNP reception.

    BSN Information Sessions

    Both Pre-licensure (Traditional 4-year) and Second Degree Options are discussed at these information sessions.

    Undergraduate Nursing Information Sessions are held the third Monday of each month (except January, August, and December) in the College of Health Professions Building. All sessions begin at 5 p.m. Come to the main entrance and a sign will direct you to the correct room. You do not need to RSVP. Upcoming dates are below.

    The information sessions are held at the McNichols Campus of University of Detroit Mercy, which is located at the corner of Livernois and McNichols. The closest freeway exit is the Livernois exit on the Lodge/M-10 (campus is 1 mile north). The meetings will be held in the College of Health Professions Building (#11 on McNichols campus buildings map). During the summer months, beginning in May and ending in August, the Livernois Entrance is the only open entry to campus.  The best parking is in the lot marked #30 on the map.

    Graduate Nursing Information Sessions

    Information about our Graduate and Doctoral Nursing programs will be discussed at these information sessions.

    2017 Dates

    • Thursday, March 2

    The information will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Room 110 (Dean's Conference Room) of the College of Health Professions Building. Information sessions are held at the McNichols Campus of University of Detroit Mercy, which is located at the corner of Livernois and McNichols. The closest freeway exit is the Livernois exit on the Lodge/M-10 (campus is 1 mile north). The meetings will be held in the College of Health Professions Building (#11 on McNichols campus buildings map). The best parking is to enter via McNichols Road and park in the lot marked #30 on the map.

    Annual DNP Program Mentor Reception

    The McAuley School of Nursing cordially invites you to a reception that encourages exploration of your graduate nursing professional development. Learn from our current students and alumni, how the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (DNP) can prepare you in advanced roles such as nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, or executive/administrator.

    Whether you are a Master’s prepared nurse looking to complete the terminal degree in nursing through our post-master’s program or a Bachelor's prepared nurse that would like to combine the advanced Master’s level role with a doctorate – this is the event that can answer your questions!
